Scorpio Meets Accident in Uchhad Mendhar, Four Injured

BSF Launches Prompt Rescue Operation; Injured Referred to GMC Jammu

Mendhar, September 14: Four persons were injured after a Scorpio vehicle met with an accident in the Uchhad area of Mendhar in Poonch district on Monday evening.

According to sources, at around 5 pm, a Scorpio bearing registration number JK-02DH-9659, travelling from Poonch towards Mendhar, met with an accident near the BSF Camp at Uchhad. The vehicle was being driven by Gurvinder Singh, a resident of Jammu.

The injured have been identified as Gurvinder Singh, Kulvinder Singh, Pinder Kour and Harmit Kour, all residents of Dara Dullian, Poonch.

Soon after the accident, personnel of 182 Battalion BSF launched a prompt rescue operation and shifted the injured to the Battalion Hospital.

Meanwhile, on receiving information about the accident, BMO Mendhar Dr Gazala immediately dispatched an ambulance to the spot. The injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar, where a team of doctors examined them and provided necessary medical treatment.

Later, the injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, for further treatment.

According to BMO Mendhar Dr Gazala, the condition of all the injured was stable.

Locals appreciated the prompt response of the BSF and Health Department in rescuing the injured and ensuring timely medical assistance.
