Security Forces Launch Massive Operation in Udhampur After Suspicious Movement

A major security operation was launched in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district after intelligence agencies received information about suspicious movement in the Majalta area. The Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jointly initiated a large-scale cordon and search operation to track down suspected militants believed to be hiding in the forested region.

According to officials, security forces immediately surrounded the area after receiving credible intelligence inputs. Multiple teams were deployed across nearby villages and dense forest belts to prevent the suspects from escaping. Search parties conducted intensive combing operations while maintaining a tight security cordon in the region.

Officials said the operation was carried out with utmost caution because of the difficult terrain and the possibility of armed militants being present in the area.
