Kishtwar, September 5: Two persons were killed after an oil tanker skidded off the road and overturned in the Pathimhal area of Palmar in Kishtwar district on Saturday, officials said.
According to officials, the accident occurred when the tanker was travelling through the area and apparently lost control before skidding off the road and overturning.
Both persons travelling in the tanker died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Mohd Shakoor, son of Liyaqat Ali, resident of Assar, Doda, and Ab Majeed Wani, son of Ahmad Ullah Wani, resident of Banihal.
Police and other concerned teams reached the accident site and initiated necessary proceedings.
